I can match the pitches of all the songs i want to sing but i cant get the TONE. It just doesnt sound good at all. Is there any exercises or anyway to change voice tone.

You gotta make sure that the songs you are singing suits the type of voice that you have. It all depends on what type of voice you have. You can't change the tone of your voice cuz if you do that you're gonna damage your voice. If you have a soft voice don't go for jazz or very heavy songs. placing ur voice differently helps to change the colour of the tone..try matching ur voice to the singer but to the same gender of course lols...matching ur voice and trying to make them sound like one helps to change the tone of the voice...remember all the vocal techniques as well...
