Program that changes voice in songs to female or male?

hey everyone plz help.

i have been trying to find a program that changes the voice.

like u know how on youtube songs that are sung by girls and there are videos that say like ';male version'; yeah.

plz tell me.

First a general understanding of the difference.

Although there are very high pitched male and low pitched female voices, in general male and female voices are produced using a different frequency range.

The pitch of either can be raised or lowered but not changed to a male or female voice.

The same note can be played on a piano and a guitar.

Raise or lower the pitch and they still sound like a piano and a guitar.

Audacity can change the pitch of a song. Notice I said song. The voice cannot be isolated and the pitch changed.

Even if it could it would sound terrible. The pitch would have to be changed by a full octave to remain in tune. If the track is in the key of A and the pitch was increased by an octave for a male singer the result would be like chipmunk.



If you want to try the pitch change in Audacity click on a blank part of the panel at the left of the track after you've imported it to highlight it then click effects then change pitch.

You can always try a program like Audacity. I think they have a pitch editor there. Another option is slowing it down a lot... That should deepen it up a bit.
