How can i change my voice into computer/GPS like voice?

hi, i am looking for a software or something, which will change my recorded voice into a computer like voice or voice you hear in GPS. the pitch the way the man in GPS sounds like?hopefully you know what i mean...



i used audacity but can get that effect..maybe you know a software can do it..please let me know how to?How can i change my voice into computer/GPS like voice?

If you have alot of time on your hand and you want to have consistent sentences or dialog, you could look into something related to Vocaloids.



Vocaloids are the voices you hear in things like your GPS. Usually the term is specificly a Computer Generated Voice that comes with some additional sounds.



These have become Pop Culture and Trendy because of a certain Vocaloid named Miku Hatsune.



The exact way these are made is you record sounds from a person and then with the program you put together the sounds to form words, sentences, songs...





Since Vocaloid by the company that make Miky Hatsune were so popular, something came out where you could make your own Voice Bank. These are called Utau or Utauloid. So if you look for Utau software, you can create your own voice bank.



The software also allows you to adjust things so that the voice can sound more Robot like or more realistic ( or atleast the Vocaloid ones do).

Many of these programs tell you to get Audacity AS A STEP it seems. I did not know. But here is such an example ( for making a UTAU or using similar).
