Is it through by changing the way you breathe you can change your voice?

so..i tend to mumble, and do the opposite of talking clearly lol

i heard your voice is actually just vibrations? O_o

..so how can you change your voice slightly...Is it through by changing the way you breathe you can change your voice?
Opening up your throat more, and project. Also how you move your mouth will affect your voice. Is it through by changing the way you breathe you can change your voice?
Yes, air moving across your vocal chords create the sound.. so technically yes -- changing the way you breath.

However, our speech is complex.. in that it involves our entire mouths.. from tongue, to teeth, to all the facial muscles to 'enunciate' our words properly.

Even our nose is involved...

To speak less 'mumbly' practice over pronouncing your words.. ie: Enunciating -- or to Articulate what you are saying.

Exaggerate what you are saying.. the syllable. Open the mouth slightly wider, speak a touch louder, even raise the pitch (Which all has to do with our vocal chords vibrating). At first it feels odd doing this, but over time it becomes habit and there becomes a mix of our old 'mumbling self' and the exaggeration self -- The new proper speech isn't either one, but a nice mix between the two.

With your vocal chords thing of two flaps together. As the pressure from your wind pipe builds up the two flaps open producing a sound. This opening of the flap (chords) is one cycle. The higher the pitch is the faster the cycles, ie: More pressure. Think of singing in this analogy.

Along the same lines you can strengthen this process, and they can weaken from lack or improper use.
